Introduction about IETE Students’ Forum (ISF) :

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), founded in 1953, is one of India’s leading recognized professional society. IETE is dedicated to the development in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Information Technology as well. The institution serves the professional community through65 centres spread all over India and abroad. The Government of India has recognised IETE as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) and also notified as an educational Institution of national eminence. IETE Students Forum (ISF) is meant for the Engineering students studying in Engineering Colleges and Polytechnics across the Country. There are more than 550 live ISFs operating in the country with a student membership of more than 60,000.

ISF at Stanley College of Engineering and Technology for Women, Hyderabad was inaugurated on September 11, 2015 in the presence of the office bearers (Honorary Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer) of Hyderabad local centre of IETE. 91 student members have been enrolled into the ISF Stanley till date. The forum provides the students with a platform to attain the goals and objectives of IETE.

Events Conducted 

ISF at Stanley College of Engineering and Technology for Women, Hyderabad organized a technical quiz competition – TECHQUIZZ’2K16 on February 27, 2016. About 140 students in 20 teams from various engineering disciplines participated in the event. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Satya Prasad Lanka, Principal. Prof. K.N. Sahu, ISF Coordinator, Prof. A. Gopala Sharma, HoD ECE Dept. were among others who were present. The winner and runner teams were awarded with prizes.
