We organize Faculty Development Program for improving the knowledge and skills of the faculty, so that they can share this knowledge with the students, and improve the teaching experience. We organize these programs by inviting the top heads in the respective fields to enlighten our faculty, and it is an exhilarating experience for the lecturers for sure.
Mr. Venkateswara Rao Mudunuru, PhD candidate at USF, Tampa, FL, USA – delivered a Research talk on “Estimating Breast Tumor Sizes using Artificial Neural Networks and Decision Trees” as part of the Faculty Development Program Series organized by the Research and Development wing here at Stanley College of Engineering for Women, on 7th March 2015. It was undoubtedly a stimulating speech and had received positive comments from our faculty about the quality of his presentation. Mr. Venkat quoted that “Counter Cancer with Courage” and his slides were very precise explaining the present world breast cancer problems. Venkat elucidated the opportunities ahead for the Statisticians and Engineers in shaping today’s world, highlighting the importance of collaborative research work for solving many real world challenging problems.
